1. Acceptance of the terms
By downloading, installing or using the Owoda application (hereinafter “the App”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use the App.
The App is published by Owoda Labs (hereinafter “we”, “our”).
2. Description of the service
Owoda is a mobile application that lets the user convert monetary amounts into an equivalent working time, based on a salary profile configured by the user. It is available on Android (Google Play) and iOS (App Store).
The App is offered in a free version and a Premium version. The list of features included in each version is available within the App and may change over time.
3. Accounts and user data
Owoda does not require creating an account. All data (salary profile, conversion history) is stored locally on the user’s device and is not transmitted to our servers.
The user is solely responsible for backing up and securing their local data. Owoda Labs cannot be held liable for data loss resulting from uninstalling the App or changing devices.
4. Financial information and calculations
The calculations performed by the App (hourly rate, equivalent working time) are provided for informational purposes only. They do not constitute financial, tax or legal advice.
Owoda Labs does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness or timeliness of the exchange rates displayed. Rates come from a third-party service and may differ from bank or official rates. The App may not be used for official financial transactions.
5. Premium subscription
Certain advanced features (CSV export, analytics dashboard, multiple profiles, unlimited history) as well as the Owoda Practical Guide are available through a paid Premium subscription.
- The subscription is billed annually through the distribution platform (Google Play / App Store).
- A 7-day free trial may be offered to new subscribers. It automatically converts into a paid subscription upon expiry unless cancelled before the end of the trial period.
- Cancellation must be carried out directly from the platform (Google Play or App Store) before the end of the current billing period. Owoda Labs does not provide partial refunds.
- Prices may change. Any price change will be notified with reasonable advance notice before the next renewal.
Purchases are subject to the terms of sale of Google LLC or Apple Inc. depending on the platform used. For any payment-related dispute, the user must contact the relevant platform directly.
6. Owoda Practical Guide — intellectual property and access conditions
The Owoda Practical Guide (hereinafter “the Guide”) is a 17-page digital document, made up of 7 chapters, offered to Owoda Premium subscribers as a complement to their subscription. It is a work of the mind within the meaning of intellectual property law.
Ownership: The Guide is the exclusive property of Owoda Labs. All rights reserved. Its design, writing, illustrations and layout are protected by copyright.
Access conditions: The Guide is reserved for Premium subscribers who have made at least one payment. It unlocks, for both reading and download, from the first payment of the subscription — that is, after the free trial converts into a paid subscription. Neither the free version of the App nor the free trial gives access to the Guide.
Licence of use: The Premium subscription grants the user a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to access the Guide, for strictly private purposes, valid for the entire duration of the active subscription.
The user expressly undertakes not to:
- Reproduce or duplicate the Guide, in whole or in part, on any medium whatsoever;
- Distribute, share, resell or make the Guide available to third parties, whether free of charge or for a fee;
- Modify, adapt, translate or create derivative works;
- Publish the Guide or significant extracts on public platforms or social networks;
- Use the Guide for commercial purposes without prior written authorisation from Owoda Labs.
Updates: The Guide is made available via the “My Library” section of the App. Owoda Labs reserves the right to update it at any time; a downloaded version does not necessarily benefit from subsequent updates.
End of subscription: Cancellation ends reading access to the Guide within the App, at the end of the current billing period. PDF copies downloaded by the subscriber may be kept for strictly personal use, with no right of reproduction, sharing or redistribution.
Any breach of these provisions may give rise to civil and/or criminal proceedings. For any special authorisation request: hello@owodalabs.com.
7. Intellectual property of the App
The App, its source code, its visuals, its trademark and all of its content (excluding the Practical Guide governed by Article 6) are the exclusive property of Owoda Labs. Any reproduction, modification, distribution or commercial use without prior written authorisation is prohibited.
8. Prohibited conduct
The user undertakes not to:
- Disassemble, decompile or attempt to extract the source code of the App;
- Modify, adapt or create derivative works without authorisation;
- Use the App for unlawful purposes or in breach of these terms;
- Attempt to circumvent the licensing or in-app purchase mechanisms.
9. Availability and changes
Owoda Labs reserves the right to modify, suspend or discontinue all or part of the App at any time, without notice. We strive to keep the App available but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
We may modify these Terms of Use at any time. The version in force is the one published on this page, with the corresponding update date. Continued use of the App constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Owoda Labs cannot be held liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential damage arising from the use of, or inability to use, the App, including financial decisions made on the basis of the information provided.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law applicable in the user’s country of residence, or failing that, by French law. Any dispute will be submitted to the competent courts.
